What are our Perigourdine Gourmet Breaks?
Our Perigourdine Gourmet Breaks are designed to appeal to lovers of good food and wine of which there is plenty in this beautiful corner of France the Perigord Noir.

We have arranged visits to places of culinary interest including a goose farm, wild boar farm, goats-cheese producers, a vineyard in the Cahors region and others, with tastings.

There will be ample opportunities to buy some of the produce.

Afternoon tea is served at around 4.30 p.m. and, on most days, is followed by a cookery demonstration of regional specialities, led by Konrad, a professional chef with many years of experience.

Following the demonstration there is time to relax before enjoying an aperitif and the highlight of the day - a gourmet dinner served by the log fire in our oak galleried salon. Our six course dinners feature the regional specialities around which we design our programmes.

Each day, the menu will be accompanied by selected wines, chosen to compliment each dish.

We have made sure that you have enough free time to enjoy some of the many attractions in the area, such as the chateaux, prehistoric caves, panoramic views, bastide towns and the beautiful Dordogne river from which our departement takes its name.

When out visiting, we travel independently in our own cars, thus giving you greatest flexibility so that after the visit you may persue your own interests at your own pace. The organised visits are not obligatory and non-cooking partners are free to choose their own activities. For example, there is a good 9 hole golf course about 8 km away for partners wishing a different form of relaxation. However, in the past we have found that all of our guests have enjoyed participating in the full programme.

We look forward to seeing you and having the pleasure of your company.

Konrad and Elizabeth Holleis.
